Autumn Family Fun Project

So this is our "Autumn Family Fun List 2010". The idea is to have your kids and husband tell you things they would like to do during a particular season. Compile a list and start "doing"!! It is intended to start family traditions and have meaningful interactions with everyone!

After hearing about this idea from a really good friend, I decided to test it out with my crew! We made a "Summer Family Fun List" but failed to accomplish the whole list. It was actually harder than I expected. I started the first day and knocked a few things off my list within the first week!

I realized after a while, though, that I was merely trying to check things off yet another list. See, I am a list maker. I have a list for everything from groceries to what needs to get cleaned during the week. I get really discouraged when things do not get crossed off my lists. I was determined that we would accomplish everything off our Summer List and take pictures of every little detail. Good intentions, right?!? Right. But during the process I was missing the main goal of this project- ENJOY time with my family and establish lasting traditions with them while showing them the love of Christ. SO...after Emma and TJ came to me and asked to do another list for Fall, I was a little hesitant! But, then again, how can you resist those faces???

I believe that between prayer and posting our progress on here, I will have enough accountability during this season's list!!
